Dr. Daniel Greenbaum has built a dental workflow where clinician, designer, technician, and educator increasingly overlap.
His path from prosthodontics and surgical training to implant dentistry led him deep into the technology behind the restorations themselves. Today, he designs his own full-arch cases in exocad, works alongside an in-house lab, and combines scanning, photogrammetry, 3D printing, milling, and digital prototyping with analog techniques when they remain the better tool for the job.
Daniel joins Rob Norton to break down how that hybrid approach works in real clinical situations, from rapid digital denture prototyping and full-mouth rehabilitation to same-day teeth, zygomatic implants, intraoperative workflows, and a remarkable palatal augmentation prosthesis created for a patient who lost most of his tongue to cancer.
The conversation also explores one of Daniel's biggest philosophies: you're only as good as your Plan B. Digital dentistry gives clinicians an incredible set of tools, but predictable treatment comes from understanding those tools well enough to adapt when a scan, printer, design, or surgical plan doesn't go exactly as expected.
